Anyone got some beta on a seller that sells full hood vinyl? I know knifeless tape and whatnot exist, but if someone already made one, it’d save me some time!

Looks nice. Where did you source?
I did my roof a few years back to prevent the eventual small scratches from roof rack use and possible clear coat peel, as commonly happens from outdoor exposure (no garage here).
I did mine in a three strip (could have done 2) because the super-wide material was very cost prohibitive in relation to doing in parts. The overlap is negligible. Of course this is the industry standard Oracal, versus using “vinyl wrap”. I did that because of the physical protection the thicker Oracal provided.

It’s not always about carbon fiber… flat black is non-reflective. It’s also a protectant of your paint job. It can also be an excellent contrast to your current paint job.
Why do folks put racing stripes? It doesn’t make the car faster… why two tone ain’t jobs? Hell, why paint cars any other color than black?

Interesting. I know fuck all about vinyl to be honest. I did it in one strip. Thank god I had a buddy to help. I bought a 5’x25’ roll from Amazon for around 200$. Vivid air release. Probably have around 12’ left over. Very interesting experience and techniques to get it done. Patience is very very necessary haha.

You hit the nail on the head… Patience is key. Take your time, follow guidance, and be willing to rework an area if needed. Yup, the sheet cost was about $250, and that was just double the dual or thee band options.

Not knowing anything about vinyl, it wasn’t THAT bad. Gotta go into it with the right “I’m taking my time, I got all day” mindset. The antenna / third brake light is definitely a challenge. There’s a tiny wrinkle next to the fin and I had to put a small 1/2” seam under the brake light. Overall it wasn’t too bad. I would definitely start at the 3rd brake light and work forward. Unfortunately I did it the other way and had to add the seam. Barley noticeable though.
