Hey all! Just got my first Tacoma, loving it so far, except for the sound system! I had a Dodge Caliber with the lift-gate system before and was very spoiled.

I think I will eventually go to the full Reference 500 system ( single subwoofer ), but was wondering if anyone did the audio system upgrade in steps. I know that doing it piecemeal will cost about $300 more in the long run, but it would spread out the cost. That being said, are there any opinions on whether it would be better to do upgrade just the speakers first, then the subwoofer/amp later or subwoofer/amp first, speakers later or bite the bullet and do it all at once?

Thanks for any thoughts on this!
