I have a 2014 silvy 4.3 I bought for my business as my work truck. I love it, mpg isn't bad, tows great and rides great. I still have my tacoma and use that for hauling the family around and what not. I never knew how much better a full size towed until I bought the silvy. For those that say you will have issues better but a Toyota, to be honest my taco has had more issues then my silvy. I beat on the silvy daily and pamper my tacoma so take it for what is worth. I looked at the ram as well when I was in the market and just feel it wouldn't hold up Long term.

I'm loving my big Ram 2500. Picked it up just before the new year, rolled over 6k on Monday. It can do some stuff.
