Will a full size spare on a stock rim fit in the spare tire storage compartment? Also anyone have any leads on the Western Slope of Colorado for a new 2023 rim? Got a 2023 TRD Off Road coming soon and am looking to get 5 matching tires and have a full sized spare and rotate it through when doing tire rotations.

They are full sized from factory. Just a steel rim. Fairly sure the Offroad has a matching 5th tire as well.

Have fun. 5x rotation saves you zero dollars and actually costs more. But it's your truck. Have at it.

It’s not an enclosed compartment and not meant for a nice painted aluminum rim. Might scuff it up while storing it (plus it’s a real pita to mount/unmount). I’d stick to stock steel rim and use it for emergency only. If you have a rear tire swing then use a nice rim for the bling factor. Stuff a bigger tire underneath if you upsize all four corners.

The biggest issue with a 5 tire rotation is that the ECU only supports 4 TPMS... so your 5th tire will not have a TPMS. Not a huge deal, but something to consider.

And you can fit up to a 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 tire in the spare tire location without modification. To fit a 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 you'll need to flatten the tire guides and be sure to pull the tire rearward away from the diff (may also need to chop the exhaust at the axle). Anything larger won't fit.

All valid points, the TMPS is the biggest show stopper for me. I've done fine with 4 all these years will just keep on with that. Thanks for the info.
