Post June 2016 or so 4x4 have only 2 zerks total that are on front driveshaft (propeller shaft). Pre June 2016 4x4 have 5 total. 2wd do not have zerks.

So far so good. No leaks. Lower profile and more unique, that's why I went with it.

Albeit more typically German aka overly complex. Why have a simple lever when you can have a spring loaded ball cap design? :D

More unique? That’s not the best criteria when choosing parts that keep fluid in lol

Figured I'd get shit for that. It's all good, I tend to trust German designs for the most part. I'm in heavy industry and German's have my respect. I'll concede that having a spring adds in complexity, but I'll just keep an eye on it

What's more prone to accidental activation? A lever or ball and seat?

Lever, fo sho. My gripe is “unique” stuff being a fucking pain in everyone’s ass. It’ll probably never be an issue with your truck. The last time I had to sort out a unique issue was when a Belgian manufacturer decided to switch coolant dump from a cock to a ball that required an adapter. When I look at something and have to say “what the fuck is this now?” I consider that a pain.

That's fair. Unique was purely aesthetic, I like that it's different than the other valve and lower profile.

Just yesterday I came upon, what appeared to be, a set of golf clubs in the middle of my lane around a curve. I had a split second to decide whether to try and drive around it or center the car over the bag to try and clear it. Centered the bag and it hit the underside of my work sedan. If I had a valve installed, no doubt it would have made contact.
