    5% of 250,000 isn't 5.

    Oh. I had no clue.

My point was how many here have trashed through a skid plate and still damaged their oil pan and plug? 5 is my guess. The other point was, 50,000 represents 5% of only those sold in the US the past 4 years, and I don’t believe most of that small group are driving in such a way that a Fumoto would be sacrilege. If it is happening then I’m sure there would be many posts here. Please link me to them. Heck, I’ll settle for one.

Your point is more than clear. I agree with it. I don't think there is a single point in which off-roading would cause the valve lever to be pulled and oil to spill out.

If I ever suspected that I might drive and be in some terrain where ripping the valve off would be possible I’d carry a spare pan, gasket and seven (7) quarts of oil with me. Likely NEVER need it but if you are one to play it fairly safe, and I do, I’d carry these items with me. No big deal.

Serious question, but are you on the spectrum? As a Fumotolover on previous vehicles, your ardent defense is admirable.

I use an Extractor and lord above all though.

I don’t intend to be DEFENDING Fumoto but intend to simply share how I use it, why I use it and have even had a close call with it. I don’t try to change anyone’s mind on how they execute their oil change. I’m here to share information with those who know nothing about it or those who are considering it. I don’t think I’m that FOOLISH to believe there’s any chance I’ll convince anyone to change their already-made-up minds about it. Why would I want to change someone’s mind? Why do some of you think I’m trying to change anyone’s mind? If that’s the vibe I’m giving off then I’m definitely mis-communicating here.

No argument from me here, you have deftly fended off the 14mm horde.

    But, I gotta ask again,

I'm asking if you are Autistic.

You have a very deliberate and analytical way about you that is somewhat familiar to me. Not intending any offense, just curious.

No offense taken. Not that I’m aware of anyway. Part of my job is to create written procedures for aircraft flight and ground operations so I tend to be deliberate and concise. My wife LOVES this trait, lol.

Hi- just ordered, so how is everyone torquing the Fumoto F133N valve to the proper 15lbs? Also, anyone adding a little blue loctite to the threads?

I don’t mean to be that guy, but wouldn’t an oil pump be faster/less hassle/more reliable? Harbor freight has a nice pump for around $100 ~ it can suck the oil out then reverse flow and push it into any container of your choice.
