    I have one on my 7.3 because the 15 quarts of oil floods out the drain. Never an issue.

    It leaked when in the closed position. Gasket was fine. Part was exposed

    Maybe just defective from the start? Or did it fail after "x" thousand miles? I've used them for over 15 years without even losing a drop. I think it's important to qualify if it was a mfg defect or failure.
