For those that have installed a Fumoto valve on your 2024 Tacoma, which one did you install.

I'm kind of surprised they don't have the L version available in that size. (I prefer the swivel to be downstream of the valve, for peace of mind reasons. Fewer gaskets to fail.)

I'm guessing the 4th gen has one of those horrible sideways oriented drain plugs? Yeah, life is so much easier if you can get the stream pointed straight down.

Edit, if your plug is facing the ground, then heck no, you don't want an SX.

I bought the regular valve. Will install when I change oil. Might be awhile!

If you haven't already bought the fumoto, check out this one. I used to use it on my old WRX. It sits more flush to the drain pan than the fumoto and has a screw on cap to prevent accidental leakage or in case you hit your plug on something while wheeling. Then when you want to change oil, unscrew cap, connect hose to the quick connect nipple and then it just snaps on and oil starts flowing.

They have multiple sizes for various vehicles.

Does anyone the size of the drain plug and thread type. Also has anyone tried the Femco. I like how they have a removable cap and hose that screw on and oil can be drained through an access hole and not have to remove your skid plate. Seems similar as @hoodwinked shared. Check them out at femco.com

FYI Just contact Femco about their drain plugs, here is their response.

    Hello Ted,

The Toyota Tacoma would take any of our plugs with an M12x1.25-T9 thread pitch. Residual oil is not an issue when utilizing a Femco drain plug. We recommend draining the oil at engine temperature to fully flush out all waste particulates. This is easier as Femco’s system prevents burns.

    Best regards,
