If he had Crawl Control, wouldn't that imply he had a rear locker as well? Didn't look like they ever engaged the locker.

I can always spot the "rental jeeps" out on the trails here in Colorado they are the dirtiest in comparison to everyone else's personal vehicle.

Stock tires and all, haven't begun the build yet...

Having read a bunch here and elsewhere, and having played in the mud quite a bit with my stock '20 OR, neither the CC or locker are going to make much difference when it comes to traction in mud. CC might conceivably help if you engage before entering the mud, but it's not going to help after getting stuck. Toyota's computerized traction control is badass and is your best friend on slick mediums; CC has been most helpful to me on inclines/declines. Shouldn't need the locker at all until you're doing rock crawling.

Hey, just wanted to thank the first few commentators! Saved myself xx number of minutes not watching. You guys are life savers.

 

Good for them for trying. I could think of tons of better places to get the truck “dirty”, but at least nobody can accuse them of being mall crawlers. It was cringeworthy though.
