Yes. You must affix the envelope to a box or suitable shipping carton, or they wont take it (USPS). As stated, I think up to a fixed weight...75lbs?

Also, there is a serious way to get off preapproved credit card lists using this method setup by the government. It works too.

Hee hee...if you only knew...I've seen some bizzare stuff over the past 23 years, first as a mail carrier, then as a clerk, and now in light maintenance. Dead reptiles/mammals/birds, crap, all kinds of wild stuff. Funny to see the occasional package come in w/ the liquor bottle busted from a bad wrap job, as well as perfume etc. Spoiled food is another comical item seen in offices. Window clerks are now required to ask the mailer if the package contains a list of things; harmful/dangerous etc, as if the person would actually say "yes", it's a case of OO buckshot, or a chunk of C4. I won't divulge some of the stuff found, so as not to give you more daring peeps any ideas:p, but on the lighter side, I've seen coconuts, rubber balls, wooden post cards all sent over time addressed to folks. I've also found evidence of puke/crap in the 24hr. lobby, peeps come in at night and whizz in the trash cans, deposit dead animals(deer/skunks/possums/etc) in the dumpster...and the day I retire, I'm going to open the side dock doors and ride the mowing tractor all around the inside office w/ a lasso! BANK ON IT! Just be careful though mailing certain items, the Postal Inspectors are pretty sharp and dedicated...

You should put the address and a stamp on a dollar bill and send it to someone and find out if the mailman is a thief or not. lol

Well I guess Kevin and Dustin never got their items...so I'll post what I sent anyways...

I've always wanted to mail a CD as is...so Kevin got one of my most treasured compact discs...

For Dustin I thought I'd send something that might make the mailman/lady look at him funny for a while. The moustache is one of those dollar store deals...fluffy and protrudes from the card, which was a printed picture mounted to a heavy piece of cardboard.

On the back I thought I'd add the wierdest thing I could think of in one minute.

I had a few other ideas, but I wanted to see if these would even make it before I stepped it up a notch.
