Pretty much this and the fact that it causes a slight deterrent from the air in the front that is unlikely, but could slightly affect mpg. 95% of us have the scoop for the cool factor including me, although mine is made out of fiberglass and actually has a functional hole. I might one day sc mine and it could use a way to vent out if I ever do.

If you want a functional hood scoop, look for RKSport tacoma hood. I love it.

Thanks for the quick answers guys! So to summarize, if I have two scoops, all my brakes get cooled, I get 50 HP to the wheel, and my mom, sister and wife all drop their panties?

One must have thick skin to deal with some of you a-holes and your responses but I love it! hahah :rofl::rofl:

Nice! The price isn't too bad either.

Is there a mating airbox that seals to it?

I think that one looks better than the OEM one. It’s more sleek

Definitely, since the skewp is not a separate part. More like the 2nd Gen hood.

It just depends on what your doing, yes the Bilstein are more comfortable off road because they are tuned to be softer. The hitachi are better kept to the street where they are firmer and prevent sway. I just like to correct people when they say that the OR has an upgraded suspension over the sport. It's not true, both sub models have upgraded suspension over the sr5. one is tuned to be softer to absorb bigger impacts, the other is more firm, tuned for handling and hugging the road.

Also, if you read the original post, he's not asking if he should get a sport or off road he's already got the limited. He's asking about which hood to get. LOL

Out of curiosity... why do they produce a 4x4 sport model then? When it comes to being a street machine, yes the sport does that well. But the SR5 suspension was very comfortable on road, until I upgraded the wheels/tires.

Just FYI, I ordered one. Roughly $1500 painted, installed, including tax. Anyone want to buy a 2018 Quicksand OR Hood?

Its really floppy isn't it? I've got 40k on it now and it feels pretty floppy.

I guess the same reason VW took a Golf and made a Nurburgring edition. Put a stiffer suspension on and you've got yourself track model.... With a V6 and a crappy transmission that's slower than a 2nd gen.:notsure:

You don't need a rear locker, its just more shit that can break leaving you stranded on the trail :anonymous:

*this is sarcasm, I'm getting ready to put in a locker on my Sport cause it's really neat
