This actually came up during an offline discussion. I currently have a 13 DCSB. Here is a picture :)

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Taco, especially the way it looks. I have taken it OffRoad a lot and have spent a lot of time enjoying it. After 4 years of ownership, and talking with and driving other peoples rigs, and learning how I actually use my Taco on a day to day basis I have come to one conclusion. I (more than likely) should have gotten an accesss cab long bed for better function, but I still prefer the looks of a DCSB.

Before I start a flame war on which is better, hear me out. For me (personally):
    * I rarely have anyone besides my dog in the back seat. Although it is nice on the rare occasion that I do.
    * While the bed is only '5, it does hold a washer and a dryer perefectly (less than an inch of wiggle room front to back), but more often than not I am wanting for those extra inches to keep things from hanging out of the back. A longer bed would also allow to me to use the bed area as a sleeping area when camping (I am 6' tall).
    * At the same time, I just can't get past the looks of an access cab. While they are nice, and I have seen some that are beautifully done, I just can't seem to love the look the way I do about my DCSB. Maybe because it is first Taco.

Even with all of that, I think "if" I ever start with another Tacoma, I will probably go with an access cab long bed. Maybe. Maybe next time I will choose function over style. Only time will tell.

Anyway, just thought I would share my thoughts. Have a great day TW!

    A little a this, a little a that...
I think the ACs look better (form) but got a DC because of the family (function). To each their own.

While I think short beds look sexy, my LB is just too dang useful when the need arises. Slept in it on many a camping trip. Sure beats having to mess around with a tent.

    Little bit of stuff.
I'm the same way. I love the function of my ACLB, yet I want the looks of a DCSB. They just look more balanced and mean. especially with roof racks, which I'm having trouble finding for mine.
