There was one for sale last may in CO for like 5K. A buddy and I almost bought it, but the thought of the interior smelling of hot dogs and spilled bong water was just too much.

Same truck. Less mods. Ones newer.

The price is absurd. The truck in the link I added may cost 10k to do everything. The truck that is for sale in the craigslist add has a suspension and camper that add up to the average value of a stock Tacoma TRD Off-road 4X4. The price is within 5k of each other.

I don't really care what he does, but damn... his pics are straight out of the "How to own a Chad-approved Insta 3rd gen Tacoma" regulations handbook.

Truth I'm guilty. Although I didn't get worked up about the dude and his vehicle choices but the people talking bad about him and the vehicle...

Although I have kinda enjoyed the discussion. This thread has been very successful.

    I'll end with this...

It takes all types of people to make the world go around.

There used to be one that would stop in Atlanta and stay at the hotel next to my apt every few months. Then I read into the selection process for the weiner driver and it’s pretty interesting. Usually pick like college juniors or some shit.

A modified truck is a modified truck to me. Not worth it. It isn't the way I would want it set up and I have no way of knowing how it was done. I also have no interest in people walking up to me asking "Hey man, that's Jaxon's truck man! Is he around?" So neither truck is worth its overvalued asking price. I still pick my truck!

You mean "have other people" mod his truck for him?

Did you read his build page?
He came in with literally no experience on suspension. He told people what he wanted and literally 4-5 very experienced people who went thru multiple suspension builds, deterred him from doing a spring under build because of the weight he would be carrying.

He said he wanted to catch some occasional "whoops" with the camper on the back. Again, people were advising him that he was gonna end up flopping or rolling it.

He was constantly agreeing and disagreeing with people, all in the same sentence, basically telling people with much more experience than him that he was going to do things his own way.

    I agree that it's his money/his truck.
But disregarding solid advice from people who know much more than he did at the time, was foolish.

Brave man... my immediate assumption about someone selling a car on CL- meth head. Glad there’s an exception.

Again...hot dogs and spilled bong water.

A few of my friends were Red Bull Girls in college. I imagine the selection process was the same. Find a sociable, decent looking kid that is willing to work a shitty job for even worse pay, but willing to do it for free stuff.

He'll be OK though. We're sending him to Texas after he finally sells it.

We really don't know if this is an exception. Lots of meth heads in that area.

CL is very popular here for selling and buying vehicles, maybe states are different.

Oh, I stand corrected let's bash him for 8 pages behind his back. He was an inexperienced young stubborn man... I'm sure non of us in this thread have ever been that... Lol I obviously don't believe what I just said. Let him be foolish. It sounds foolish. But who cares? The truck still turned out sweet... I don't care about the guy... Well, I mean I don't care to bad mouth the guy. It just isn't my thing.

35-38k seems reasonable. Almost 70k with high miles is just dumb.
