    Off subject: We had a guy Ive been hounding to get a copy of his DD214 since the beginning of the year. Well he finally got around to joining our American Legion Nov but he had a VA card so had to show his DD214 at some point, but anyways he ends up passing away 30 Nov! He's estranged from his next of kin and still no copy of his DD214 which now his next of kin have to get in order to get buried at our local veterans cemetery. We are trying to get a hold of his family to see if they will get his death certificate and get a copy of his DD214 so we can bury him in the verterans cemetery. If not the funeral home says his cremated remains will be spread in the woods or something is what Im being told! Ive contacted the Funeral home and they are supposed to call me back Monday...:goingcrazy::annoyed: I'll try to update more later.

    So bottom line is If you are a veteran make sure you have a copy of your DD214. Makes it easier for everyone....

    TacomaWorld, Joshua Kaleb Watson is set to return home tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 13.

    He is expected to arrive at Dothan Airport on Friday and a procession is expected to leave the airport at roughly 10:30 a.m. The Enterprise Police Department will escort the procession.

    A spokesperson for the family said that the procession will head to Enterprise on Highway 84 West then travel north on Boll Weevil Circle to Searcy Funeral Home at the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and Highway 167.

    The City of Enterprise welcomes anyone who would like to show their support for Watson to line the highways and streets along the route.

    The 23-year-old sailor was killed by an active shooter at Pensacola Naval Air Station on Dec. 6.

    I wasn’t on a boat except for quals once a year.
    My sea duty was shore based. Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, Cuba and Puerto Rico. With a stop in Curaçao for a month or two. I was counter narcotics in early 90’s, thought I told you guys that.

    There will be a procession from the airport going south on I-95 to GA-204 and then south on US-17 to bring Airman Apprentice Walters to Richmond Hill Funeral Home, located at 8901 Ford Avenue.

    Those friends and neighbors who plan to welcome this fallen hero home can line the streets along US-17 and Ford Avenue from the Crossroads heading towards the funeral home.

    Please join us in honoring Airman Apprentice Walters for his service and ultimate sacrifice. He was killed by an active shooter on Pensacola NAS on 6 December.

    West Point and Annapolis officials are trying to determine the motives of service-academy students who flashed hand signs on national television Saturday that in certain contexts are associated with “white power.”

    The hand sign appeared to be displayed both by West Point cadets and Annapolis midshipmen during a broadcast of the annual Army-Navy football game in Philadelphia, but U.S. Military Academy officials haven’t yet determined their intent, according to a West Point spokesman.

    Annapolis officials appointed a preliminary inquiry officer to conduct an internal investigation, Annapolis spokeswoman Cdr. Alana Garas said Sunday. “Based on findings of the investigation, those involved will be held appropriately accountable,” she said.

    In a statement Sunday, the Pentagon didn’t comment on the hand signs but said its regulations “mandate that military personnel reject active participation in organizations that advocate supremacist, extremist, or criminal gang doctrine.’’

    “We’re looking into it,” said Lt. Col. Chris Ophardt, a West Point spokesman, soon after the sign appeared on national television Saturday afternoon. “I don’t know what their intention is.”
