    It's been back since 9/11. You should see all the guys sporting beards... in certain units...... OCONUS. Got to grow out a pretty good ZZ Top-like one my first time in OEF circa 2001.

    Thanks for your great pics and service. The USAF recently brought beards into their allowed grooming standards. Airmen will be allowed to wear up to 2-inch beards under a new Air Force guidance that outlines grooming standards for religious accommodations. The updated grooming policy, published Friday, also allows members of the Sikh faith to wear turbans and Muslim women to wear hijabs. If I was a young E-1/E-2/E-3, I'd start growing out my beard and claim religious status. What are they going to say?

    Mine does ok. But every time is like the first time. I can do the top and sides on my own, then she has to do the back, and touch up the stuff I do.

    I normally go 1 on the sides, and a 4 on top in the winter. That’s only a precaution for the wife making a mistake.

    i swear mine grows a foot a year. It’s thick and dense. So ready for some thinning to start happening.
