For sure. That's the first thing we brought up when this order was put out. If the guy is such a slob that you can tell just from what you see through the front door then you already know about it.

OMG, that was my technical school in a nutshell. Buffing the floor every morning for 3 months.

I can make a vinyl tile floor shine like a goddamn mirror. I'll bet I haven't operated one of those buffers since the military, 25 years or so and I would wager I could still get it done like it was yesterday.

She runs. What more can I ask for?
I was banned from using the buffer in basic. Slammed it into the wall one too many times.

Hell, that continued on to the barracks. Then when I got married and moved out, it was still the company or BN whenever I had duty. You never get freedom from the buffer.

Not to mention my wife had to try and use one with her mom to strip the floors in order to clear housing. It was a great story when I got back from NTC. They thought one of them sitting on it might make it easier. For you younger guys- there was no YouTube then either. Pure trial and error unless you knew someone.

When I graduated technical training and arrived at my first duty station, I was in junior enlisted heaven. Industrial carpet in the dorms meant the giant Oreck vacuums...but no buffing.

Then I get to the data center (giant ass mainframe) and my first job is to clean the floor tiles. "You need to clean them, but you can't mop them." :bananadead:

I eventually figured out a way to pull them, take them out back, and hit them with soft scrub and a concrete broom. Sparkly white. We wore paper booties on the server floor after that because anything else played havoc with dust control.

She also tried to swap the dryer plug when she moved while I was down range. She plugged it in to make sure it would fit first though.
