    fun story:

    i was sitting in the bleachers after a rugby game. just watching a kid (pfc, specialist, whatever) hosing down the track.

    he had his hands in his pockets, just doing lazy circles, spraying mud off the track.
    my buddy was about to haze him for the pockets thing.

    I just told him to hang on and see what happens.

    sure enough, the hose is just getting wrapped around his ankles. and just about when he's noticed the hose and is ready to untangle himself, I just yell "hey!" really loud...

    the young man was startled.

    and with one hand on the hose and the other in his pocket, he hits the wet textured rubber track with his jaw and nose

    Yep. It was nice watching him get busted down to E-5 and instantly retired for HYT for adultery with another SNCO’s wife during a deployment, too.

    I knew a MSgt got busted down to SrA for messing with the "generals daughter" he was married at the time... and another guy was MSgt Got busted down to SSgt because he dropped an extra tank on F-16 fully loaded with fuel and it rolled down the flightline spilling fuel and rolling and spilling fuel..."cachung cachung cachung" would be my only easy way to describe it. I didnt see it but he told us about it, after a long time of prodding.

    one of my tasks in my last line unit: escorting a former master sergeant/ new staff sergeant during his QMP/"retirement" out-processing

    his relief-for-cause coincided neatly with a fraud/waste/abuse charge.

    take note kids: don't use a government credit card to support your bills so your paycheck can support your gambling problem

    i watched a brand-new platoon leader guard a coffee pot for the duration of a nine-month deployment, for hitting on a company commander's wife on Facebook via private message

    He went back to being a 2LT stateside and was a whipping boy/ torture toy until his courts-martial for an affair with an enlisted spouse

    within 48 hours of each other.

    for ignoring the orders of the company commander.

    and issuing guidance that directly contradicted those orders.

    he should have seen the inside of a cell.
