What the hell? I have to pay it back in January?
    https://federalnewsnetwork.com/pay/...f-payroll-tax-deferral-for-federal-employees/
Though federal employees would see savings next month and through December of this year, the payroll tax break is temporary. Federal employees have from January through April 2021 to pay deferred payroll taxes back before interest or other penalties accrue next May, the IRS said.

Yep, it’s almost like the people writing the rules don’t really care about the people.

Don't spend money you actually haven't earned? IDK.

    That's the nature of a temporary-until-congress-approves break.

Who's gotten a overpay by the .mil before? We spend that shit, right?

Them fuckers gave me a double pay, took it all back, reported it as a collection and didn't give me the correct pay for over a month after they took back their fuck up. Thankfully, it was while on my first deployment and I didn't have anything that needed money. But it still took three years to get my credit report corrected.

Combat Comm is a great place to pull fart pranks.

Our crypto vans were no-lone zones. There had to be two people present at all times. A fun prank was to wait for a third person to come in the van, drop ass, then bolt out the door before the smell hit. Classic.

When we replaced those vans after a Desert Storm, the new shelters had NBC filtration systems that tied into the HVAC. It was completely closed system through the external air handler. HOWEVER...if you uncoupled the 12” feed hose, farted into it, and then recoupled it - that fart recirculated continuously.

If you cleaned the DFAC out of hard-boiled eggs first...

I had a kid that didn’t get paid for five months. Back when we all had to stand in the pay line and sign the roster for a check. After the second month of no pay and draining the slush fund dry top went with my plan to just tell him to show up for formation and then go get a job to feed his kids. He got on with a local Ace hardware store after the owner called me to see if the story he told him was bullshit. Three months later and uncle sugar squared him away things were back to normal for him.

You want to deal with kids doing stupid kid shit? Then jump up and down shouting at them all the time. Treat them like men and help them advance in their career and they’ll act like men.

He was a good one and valued his career. I told all of my joes that if there’s a school you want to go to bring the info to me and if we can connect it to your current job I’ll help you with the paperwork. Some brought my BS stuff that had zero connection to their MOS or their job but this kid was sharp, I reckon he got four different certificates from schools I signed for. He’s still in and I couldn’t be prouder of him because there is no quit in that mans body. He tells the “get a job” story better than I do as well.
