Funny military memes, B.S., and shotgun club!

Quite ratarded. In 10-15 years though no one in the military will know any better. Right now it’s just us old folks who still use the original names for all the bases and the young fucks just look at you all confused because they don’t know any better.

 

I don’t really have any stakes in the base naming game, but renaming bases that were named after defeated enemies makes sense.

 

No idea. I got out in 1988. Long before they started all the woke installation renaming BS.

 

It’s so far down the list of things that matter yet was being heralded as some life changing event that would somehow correct the wrongs of history.

If they were doing it because of that, it might make since. But they did it to be WOKE, and that has no place in the military.

 

Later a chief warrant officer in the Army and by all accounts a huge dick to everybody.

I will agree that they picked some good people for their WOKENESS project, nor do I know or care who Rucker was. But I can't/won't change or ignore history, I grew up calling it Ft Rucker, I'll die calling it Ft Rucker, and Pluto is still the ninth planet.

 

I thought it was the CSMs who were dicks to everybody...

 

Yeah I'm still gonna be going 'who/what again?' when its coming to the new base names.

Apparently it will cost roughly $21mil to rename 9 bases, meanwhile I can't get enough funding to buy updated and properly functioning equipment for our schoolhouse. But hey, some full bird got their star out of it.
