    Heh CG most likely to be Jody, tbh. Moderately short deployments (might be gone over half the year but those come in 2 week to 3 month chunks) and lots of folks working shifts stateside. And base access.

    A couple of rear window decals...
    I can tell you the shoe tree idea wasn't worth all the effort I put in the finish. Soon as I wore them the mirror finish shattered just like glass, which left me very disappointed.

    I remember Leather Luster. I used it for a while after I got tired of polishing by hand every week. Eventually I just got tired of it all and went to a clean black finish for daily boots wear and bought a extra pair for inspections. I was positively ecstatic when we went to suede boots and I could retire my boot polish to the back of the dresser draw!

    Just saw 2 of our naval aviators are no longer with us after their Growler went down east of Mt Rainier. It is one of the highest honor of my life to serve in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic for the brave men and women crewing those planes. Always hard to lose members of our military family.
