    In an age where every Tom, Dick and Abdul can get their hands on shoulder launched heat seekers, I just don't see how that little turbo prop as any chance of survivability - especially compared to that of the Warthog.

    I realize that, but the A-10 is a significantly more robust airframe than the Tractor seems to be. Plenty of tales of shot to hell Hogs still getting home. I can't see that happening as frequently with the Tractor.
