And a spool of flight line, a pallet stretcher, and a can of K9-P industrial solvent.

Hint, base supply doesn’t carry K9-P. You have to get that from Security Forces/MPs... ;)

Our supply had K9-P lubricant, but its very toxic...;) also hard to find was the a yard of flightline.

When I was running expediter as a young E5 I had some guys pull a K9-P Lubricant prank on a new "Know-it all" Airmen. They told him to go next door to the KC135 tanker supply/tool room and get some K-nine P lubricant. But that is super toxic so you had to wear all the PPE you could. Rubber apron, rubber gloves, goggles, long sleeve shirt etc. So he goes over and we call ahead just to warn them. He comes back walking slowly/sweating profusely like hes holding a gallon of nitro glycerin. It was in a spray bottle/yellow and warm. Well he comes up to the truck I was driving and asks me what to do with it...I said "get that crap out of here...that stuff is dangerous, take it to our tool crib!!! he says its still warm...I say "thats because its unstable...you better get to tool crib now!!!" and I took off. a few min later they spilled the beans and told him someone pissed in a bottle and had you carrying it around the flightline...meanwhile everyone was laughing at him. All he said for a while was "f- you guys"...LOL

The SNCOs in my flight did it to my troop. The thing about him was he often tried to do things on his own without asking questions. I’m sitting in the office working on a build and he comes in looking for the base phone book.

I’d learned to be suspicious whenever he had “that look.”

    “Hey man, what’s up?”

“MSgt Danner and TSgt Cobb need something to clean the shelter walls” (We’d just come back from Panama and our shelters still had dry-erase marker on them). “So I tried supply, vehicle ops, power pro, and job control, and they’re all out.”

    “Uh, out of what?”

    “K9-P, duh.”

    “...”

    “...”

(He finds what he’s looking for and starts dialing)

“Uh, Brian, K9-P is dog piss.”

(He slowly hangs up while “working dogs” can be heard over the speaker)

Ironically he got his revenge when we sent him out to the USS Blue Ridge and he came back with a morale patch that was for “champion prop washer” with a seaman holding a bucket under a helicopter. Left it on MSgt Danner’s desk. Hilarity ensued.

It was then I realized my little Airman had grown up.

Also the Navy, after every major mishap: Crew fatigue was the largest single contributing factor, but we're going to relieve the CO and blame it on the lack of a 'culture of safety'.

I got sent for a can of squelch for my “new guy” hazing. Went straight to the barracks and took a nap. Was woken up by a senior NCO who started out hot about why I was there and when I told him I was sent out for a can of squelch he laughed and told me that I had to fuck off in 30 minutes or less.

Guys back at the shop had a great laugh when I turned back up but I was laughing the hardest when the same senior turned up to tell my boss about where he found me while on my special mission.
