    I miss the omelettes the TCNs would make downrange. No matter where, they were all made the same. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, you could get them with corned beef hash.

    Im just glad that hotels have the half circle cheese omelets we got in the field. I kinda prefer my food bagged and cooked in boiling water. :hungry:

    Seriously though, can’t explain it but I love those omelettes. Also the brown MRE omelette.

    And I dont know what everyone is talking about the Air Force having the best shit, or maybe its just what we got from them. We had to stay at Howard AF base in Panama. They stuck us in those fucking Quonset hut's down on the Panama Canal. Fucking things had zero insulation in the fucking jungle. AC? Ha, not for you fucking boys.

    Those goddamn Coatimundai were everywhere on base as well. Sons of bitches, they stole everything and the damn doors didnt have locks. Racoon fucks could open doors!!!

    Navy billeting standards were lower than AF billeting standards. I stayed in the Manama Hilton in Bahrain because the billeting on the Navy base was below standard. Apparently, what we considered barely acceptable for E-4s was considered luxury to the Chiefs and CGOs.

    Heck, on the way out to my last deployment I got stuck at Norfolk over 4th of July and three of us AF SNCOs got put up in the BOQ because that's what the AF expected. I didn't argue.

    Nice NCO club there, though. Y'all are good to drink with.

    Haha! Funny you said that! Me (E4) and another guy (E5) went TDY to Miramar aka "Top Gun". base we got put in the same room on billeting. Looked like the worst AF billeting you could think of No A/C in the middle of the summer...WTH!!:rofl::rofl:. Typically we got our own rooms on AF bases but not here so whatever. So one of the Navy SNCO says thats top of the line in Navy. Both of us looked at each other like:eek:. luckily it wasnt a long TDY...
