Ok ... my Taco is 2006 TRD 4x4 52 k currently...I never brought this up.. My power steering makes a weird noise, or I assume its the power steering. When I start the truck everything is fine, when I turn the wheel and move a couple feet I hear a loud buzz, or burr sound....it wont do it again unless I shut it off and let it cool...I dunno, keep an eye on it, if it acts funny next time its in the shop should I mention it ? My extend warranty runs out Mar 2013. Any idea what this is?

Could it be my ABS pump adjusting at start up?

I also think you are describing the ABS test that occurs after every start up and when you move a few feet. Maybe you can get us a sound clip?

Check the power steering fluid level. You could have a leak in your rack and pinion or the pump may be going out. Either case it's an easy fix. Don't use stop leak!

Be sure to mention it at your next service to at least establish the problem originated before the warranty ran out. That way you will have a leg to stand on when and if it becomes a real issue. It could be air in the PS hyd line or the PS pump is on its way out.
