Further explanation please asap...how much of what trimming spidertrax with 265/70/17

    looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift
    I have read, researched, and searched...I need specific help here...

    I am running 265/70/17 BFG Rugged Terrains (great tire btw) on stock trd sport rims (2013 dbl cab 4x2 short bed)...wanted a slightly wider stance...saw some members with spidertrax and really like the look.

    Also...on order from DSM 5100 billies all around which will be set to 1.75" in front and an Icon progressive 3 leaf in back (removing overload spring) being installed in the next few weeks.

    I ordered the spidertrax from wheelers then continued researching and realized I might (probably) have rub issues with the spidertrax on...

    What my specific question is...based on this set up and please keep in mind I will never take it off road or haul much of any weight in the bed (if that means anything)...I really would rather not ever have to trim anything so I may need to be cancelling the order...please lmk asap.

    -will I have rub issues?
    -when will it rub?
    -if so, exactly how much of what will I have to trim?
    -if there is rub can, I just let it rub ? or will that not be smart?
    -what do you even trim with?

    TBH you probably won't rub. Never seen that combo before...pull the trigger and see what happens. If you rub at all...you'll know it immediately...and you can usually look into your fender and see where it's rubbing and decide if it's something you can cut off or bend out of the way. Mud flaps are usually first to go.

    You MIGHT rub at full steering lock in either direction...not sure though...I ran 265/75/16 on 16x8 rims with 4.5 backspacing and I rubbed at full lock with Spidertrax spacers...it's all just trial and error, bro

    thanks for your response...so if I only rub at full lock,

    do I need to trim/cut or is that something I just need to be aware of and try to avoid?
    is trimming/cutting a must or a preference?
    can damage occur if rub happens and is not dealt with?

    You may be fine, but I'd suspect if you rub anywhere like he said it will be the inside of the mud flaps. These are easy to trim if you want to leave them on the truck and you will not be able to see where you trimmed unless looking down inside the wheel well at the mud flap.

    My wheels stick out a little father than stock and at full lock and/or compression I rubbed on the inner mud flap. Simple to trim down. Just a mud flap that if you miraculously screwed up you could get replacement for cheap on the for sell section.

    I have 5100s w/Eibachs, 2" Toytec AAL, Spidertrax 1.25" spacers, and 265/70-17 tires on stock sport rims. My total lift is right at 2". Yes, you will rub. It's only at full lock and only when the corner of the tires hit the inner fender well liners. You can't hear anything until you're in reverse and the treads catch the liner. Then you hear the popping noise. Going forward, the tires swipe this area going down and there's no noise.

    You'll just have to do some minor trimming to the plastic up front on the fender liner. It's not bad and I haven't bothered to trim anything with my setup.

    Well, with spacers and too big of tires...you could be rubbing the frame...
