    Hello,
This is my first post. I have a 2009 Tacoma, 4 cylinder access cab. Last week I had the dealership handle two recalls: (1) driver and passenger seat belt assemblies, and (2) spiral cable replacement. Since this work was completed, every time I turn on the fan, the no 7 fuse (in the cab fuse box) blows. I have never had problems with any fuse blowing until this week. Before I go back to the dealer I would like to know if there is a chance that their work caused the electrical problem.

    Thanks

There is a chance but I would disconnect the fan and turn the switch on and see if it blows then put the fan back on and do it again and see if it blows before I blamed them or had them do a repair that may cost you. That's just me though.

Thank you, Drivesector. But I don't think the IG1 No. 2 fuse directly controls the fan. It's only 10 amps and is probably not large enough. I'm pretty sure that circuit just controls a relay, which controls the fan. The fuse for the fan (heater) is in the engine compartment, fuse 29, and is 50A. The IG1 No. 2 is sort of a do-everything fuse, it has about 15 loads on it. It seems a load as large as the fan would be on a dedicated fuse. It would sure help if Toyota provided a wiring diagram in the manual.

One other bit of info... The fuse is not blowing due to overload. It's blowing due to a short. There is no delay, I can hear the pop, and the fuse case is blackened by the fault. I'm pretty sure Toyota stripped or pinched a wire when they were in there for the spiral cable replacement. I just don't know how the wires are routed so I can't say for sure.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

The IG NO2 fuse provides power to the heater relay and the blower control circuit. It also provides ppower to the AC Magnetic Clutch Circuit. If I were to guess I would say it is the AC Mag Clutch that is causing you a problem.
Try pulling the MG CLT Relay and then running the Blower. If the fuse doesn't blow there is your answer the problem is with the Magnetic Clutch.
