I have a 2017 TRD Sport that has an electrical issue. Realized a few weeks back that my center console Charging station (inside flip up to center console) and my USB port behind the center console for back seat passengers were both not working. So noticed my 15A fuse was blown in accessories 2 and replaced: blew again before even plugging anything in. Why would this all of the sudden be happening after having the truck for 6 years? I'm using my charging port in my dash, but really like hiding the charging chord inside the center console. HELP!

Could be a wire got loose in the console and rubbed a hole in the insulation causing a short. Should be able to unscrew the shift knob and lift the console up to tell. Just a thought .

Already have taken off the console top and nothing seems out of the norm. Also unplugged the charger to see if maybe this was the issue, still blows a fuse as soon as I put it in. I have gone thru 5 15A fuses thus far in testing mode.

    none yet
have a multi-meter with cotinutry test? ideally with beep
put one probe in the downstream side of the fuse location and the other to a good ground point, then you can wiggle and giggle wires and not keep popping fuses

    Yes please!
Was going to suggest this. Can you unplug one connector at a time to narrow down the possible issue?

I did disconnect the USB Port and the charger under the flip up seperately, and still blowing fuses. Think it's a wire shorting somewhere, just have to find it.

I wonder if it's a short inside the connectors?

Have you recently installed any electrical items in/on the truck?

Keep in mind that the back seat USB is distributor or dealer installed (e.g. not OEM), so this item may be more suspect

Look at your device plugs and see if maybe something broke off inside the female connects, or look directly into the connects to see if something came apart ?

    This!
My GF leaves the charging cords in wet cup holders,,, I’m surprised it hasn’t cause a problem yet. I just threw one away, the phone end was corroded.
