My cigarette fuse had been going out lately. Every time it does, I put a new fuse in and last about 2 minutes then goes out again. I have no idea what could be the problem. Do any of you guys know what the problem can be?

Somethings shorted. You have to see what's on that circuit. Anything aftermarket?

    Short circuit.
What is plugged into the cigarette lighter socket?
If nothing you have a wiring problem.
If you have something plugged in unplug it and see if it still blows.
Have you or anyone else done any mods and tapped into the cigarette lighter circuit?
    If yes disconnect it.

Do you use your cigarette lighter for actually lighting cigarettes? There has been a number of times where I have seen cigarette residue get left on the end of the igniter and then leave residue inside the cigarette lighter socket that can cause a short and blow fuses

Is your aftermarket stereo wired into that circuit?

No I don't smoke so there shouldn't be any residue in there.

In case you haven't already checked, look and see if there is any coins or a paperclip or something in there lol. I've also seen that plenty of times

No paper clip or coin. I think it may be a short somewhere to be honest. I just don't know how to fix that myself.

Go through and check all your fuses in both boxes, too. My fog lights shorted about a month ago, traced it back to a blown 10a fuse in the cab box.

easy way to chase a short..........go get an old school head lamp, like the square or round beams from wagner. put long wires on it, then with pins or spades on the ends, plug the ends where the fuse would go. the lamp will handle the draw and light up. start unplugging stuff and when the light goes out, you have found the circuit with the short. (this is directly from lexus electrical class)
