looks like you can go to basic as a e-2 or e-3 if you pass some test by the time you ship for basic.

i approve of the DEP program, probably wouldn't be where i am today without it.

pretty much what it is is you study core military knowledge, and take a test in the recruiters office. Than you convert your college credits, and than as long as you pass all your fitness tests, you will come in as an e2-or e3, that's how it was 6 years ago for the navy anyways, i think there are a couple recruiters on there that may be able to help more

puts you on a training system through your recruiter- PT tests and military knowledge kind of stuff. (For the Army, it's learning the Army values, Warrior Ethos, Soldier's Creed) to prepare you for BCT. The site lets you make a AKO account and get a packing list for BCT too, IIRC.

its a very good deal though, if you do everything correctly and to the best of your ability you will come out way above average, and as long as you are a hard worker and treat everyone respectfully (both above and below your rank) the military is a great place to be

My son is in this. He's a E-2 currently. If he passes his next PT test(do not recall required score)he will make E-3. Good program! A friend of mine just finished BCT/AIT after going through this. He's head for jump school, then SFAS.
