Black wheels on the OR version. Not a functional improvement, but I like the look of black wheels on any truck :p

I agree with people that the drum brakes were done on purpose, and have their advantages, but I also think cost savings also played a big role in the decision as well, despite what Toyota says.

so you would want a steel bed. Not a liner... gotcha. You must love the steel vs aluminum bed ad/commerical that GM runs... lol

Easily remedied by putting the truck in Park (auto) or leaving it in gear when you shut if off (manual). And if you ever had driver ed they taught you to turn your wheel toward the curb so that if the car were to begin rolling it would roll up against the curb and stop.

Not necessary steel bed, I wouldn't mind one but if they stick with composite I'd like something the strengthens it a bit.

How about factory hood struts.... Hood props are cheap and can be dangerous. Let the wind catch your hood just right and it will come down on you!!

This I can get behind. Honestly, how many vehicles have hood props these days? Hopefully not many! I was disappointed the Tacoma didn't have those.

And the fact that Toyota got cheap and stopped putting in a temp sensor/display I thought was lame. My 2005 Camry SE had a temp display. And my 2015 Tacoma doesn't? That never made sense to me.

Sealed transmission, you won't be getting a dipstick back.
Many automakers have had this for years now. Nothing new.
Hell my 2006 jetta doesn't even have a transmission dip stick.
BMW, Audi, Mercedes none have dip sticks for trans either.

Doubt new hondas have them too.
that hand brake parking brake is one of my favourite things haha.
    hate the foot ones.

The 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine Toyota makes is a beast. I have driven it in vehicles in the Middle East. It is as good or better than a V-8.

I like it because of the push button start. For some reason it makes sense to have the ignition and e brake near the same area. Although if we are arguing about the location of the e-brake, I think we are nit picking quite a bit...

And how cool would it be to drive a Tacoma with a "Rollin' Coal" decal?? OMG.... :muscleflexing::curls:

Kidding aside, a diesel Tacoma would probably be a good move.

Yeah us 2nd Gen folks don't have push button start. We have to turn our wrist to twist this old fashioned thing called a key... :(

    always had em.
Used to going for the hand brake when parking not a pedal.

Besides in an emergency I'd rather it be by my hand and not by my foot.
Can pull the hand brake and not have it lock if you hold the button.
If you push a ebrake pedal you can't just take your foot off and have it release.
BUT i will say I'm super happy toyota didn't go with some bullshit stupid fucking electronic parking brake thing.
    those things are fucking awful

LOL Yeah... loose floor mats, uncontrolled acceleration, electrically failing e-brake? That would put Toyota over the top! :D

+2 on the electronic parking brake. I've driven cars with them and I find it somewhat unsettling.
