    Hey everyone,

Happy to report that I just put a deposit down on an 09 Double Cab TRD package in Alpine White. I'm really looking forward to picking it up in the Spring. The truck will be replacing my old reliable 97 F-150 that I just recently sold.

Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you would recommend the roof racks and/or the bed extender? I will be transporting a 9 foot pontoon boat on numerous occasions and I'm not quite sure which would make more sense, put on top or in the box. I was thinking the box since throwing it up top would likely result in more scratches and I don't want to do that even though I'll have the best colour for concealing them :)

Anyone pack a pontoon boat in their Taco?

thats gonna be tough...how much does it weigh? If its not overly heavy I would put it in the bed and strap it in with some red streamers on the end per the law. Not sure I would putt it on the roof, hehe:D

Now that is VERY cool and would probably work like a charm! The pontoon boat is only about 70 pounds fully inflated (it's basically two inflatable pontoons attached by a frame in the middle . . . it's a fly fishing craft) so it's not a heavy load at all. I like the idea of that extender allot.

    Thanks for the feedback folks!

p.s. Oh and chris4x4 my other boat will be getting towed :)

The truck is expected to arrive in April so I have to wait a bit yet. I feel like a kid a couple of days before Christmas :D
