I was lucky enough to have my grandfather pass down his gen 1 Tacoma. Picking it up next weekend and will update the thread with pics then. I am planning on doing some updates to interior and exterior, and eventually turn it into my daily driver. Currently in a 2017 Tundra

Finally got around to posting a picture of the truck.

Have some FN Five Star wheels on order. Going to put 265/75/16 tires on it, and redo the entire suspension/spring.

Also in the market for a lunar mist topper if anyone in the southeast has one they are looking to get rid of.

    Fun truck to drive!

Need some advice. Just installed new wheels and tires and the valves are bulging out. See attached. What did I do wrong?

Truck update! Just picked it up from ACC Garage here in Atlanta. Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work done in the southeast. They replaced the LCAs and UCAs as well as upgraded suspension. Unfortunately I wasn't able to upgrade the leafs yet, but I am hoping to do this on my own at the end of this year or beginning of next. Made a quick trip to Birmingham yesterday and it rode great. Had to pull a trailer back and was happy with how it handled. Definitely not the same as towing with the Tundra, but manageable.

What's the plan here (for the rear seat space)? Looks interesting.

Mainly for more storage and a platform for my two dogs when traveling. I initially wanted to do this to my Tundra, with a product from GooseGear, but never pulled the trigger. That company does not make a delete for the backseat of a first gen tacoma, so I made a template from cardboard and built this with 3/4" birch plywood. Coated it with aerosol raptor liner.

There are a few threads on here where people did this to their 2nd and 3rd gen models. I couldn't find many for first gens though.
