    Hi everybody,
I work for Performance Aluminum in Houston tx.
Our business specializes in aluminum manufacturing and certified aluminum welding, mostly power substation and oil & gas stuff. But over the years we have built a lot of cool stuff for trucks, boats and utvs. Marine tops, hunting systems, Roll cages, roof racks, bed racks etc.
Its always been word of mouth, custom stuff. We have decided to go full force and launch a large product line (AluOvrlnd). Our Tacoma bed rack will hopefully be one of our flagship products. We hope to become a vendor (sent 2 emails and pms but no response) and want to offer some awesome manufacturers direct, introductory prices and free giveaways. Here is a sneak peek. What do you think?

They bolt to the track. A cool feature is it can slide back and forth. The shape of the rear allows it to actually overhang the back of the truck a little if you want. So if you wanted to put long surfboards or 2x4s or even an xl tent you can get a better load distribution.

Please check the CoC - there’s a rule for potential vendors. Once you meet those requirements (and 100 Chad likes are part of that) you should be good to go.

You should also, uh, come to the Austin Tacos and Tacos and, um...bring evidence of product.

    And bacon.

    Lots of bacon.

I have found zero Information on becoming a vendor. Where are the rules? Ive searched and only info I have got is "tcBob is the only one who can help" but I sent emails and Pms and nothing yet (hasn't been but a few days though).
I love going to Austin. I tried looking up Austin tacos and tacos and nothing but tacos pops up... now im hungry. Do you have any info on the meet up? I will for sure plan a trip.
Thanks, These are definitely ultra high quality. They are on par with quality you see with high end aluminum mountain bikes. The problem we had in the past is these types of assemblies are big and shipping was expensive. We developed a special internal expanding tube coupler that allows us to break theses down into smaller assemblies for shipping. It is a very clean way to achieve a mechanical connection.

Not only will the local threads get you an opportunity for meet-ups and an honest way to get feedback on your products, but literally chatting in any one of them will get you a post count. Get to know these folks - the feedback you get about your products will set you up not only as a legit vendor but open the door to the rabid, drooling masses who love cool shit.

I can’t take credit for this, but I love repeating it: TacomaWorld is the most expensive free membership you’ll ever have. We chase cool stuff like dogs chase bubbles.

The Austin crew meets at Cars and Coffee Austin on the second Sunday of the month. December is being held at The Oasis, and January it moves to Concordia University. It has a Facebook page as simply Cars and Coffee Austin. We are well represented in their pics.

    Welcome to TW!

The more the merrier! Having a variety of options is always good both for the consumer and for fab shops to stay creative in their product. Welcome!
