Also noticed these on my LR UCA's. . . I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to be touching the spring. . . OME 885 coils. This is at full droop with the wheels off.

My boots are worse...but if they were torn there would be a fuckton more grease around...they look fine?

Should I go ahead and replace all of my boots? to save having to refill my diffs again?

Ahh well...Thats life with a lifted truck haha

But you don't have to replace all the boots if you don't want to... they all wear at uneven rates after a lift
And refill the diff? CV grease and the CV has nothing to do with diff gear oil

I was under the impression I needed to take the axle out to replace the boots?

The gears are a sealed system. Though you might lose a little oil taking the CV out the CV is not what's holding the oil in the diff

quick tip when it does come time for you to replace the axle
only do one side at a time and only jack up on side. if you only lift one side then all the fluid will be on the opposite side of the dif meaning no loss of fluid and cleaner axle swap.
i have done probably 20 axles in the last year it is part of having a lifted truck.

It may be from the lift but mine, both sides, cracked in the same spot, and it's not from wearing through, rather the rubber rotted.

Get a boot kit. You may need a 3 jaw puller, you'll need to take the tripod apart, slide or cut the old boot off and slide on the new one. Re-assemble the tripod and housing, clamp and re-insert into diff. Pretty straight forward but messy.

Theres a video floating around but they make it seem like you can pop the damn tripod just right off. I wasn't able to. I had to get crafty with a 3 jaw puller -- you can rent from autoparts store.

You'll need a 35mm hub socket, 19mm, pair of pliers, a screw driver, and a torque wrench. It's pretty easy.
