    Re: LR UCAs touching springs:
This is normal for LRs. Other manufacturers of UCAs don't have this issue, because they're full uniballs. I have LRs, OME 886s, and OME Nitrochargers, and I have the same issue. I'll be swapping the LRs out for some Camburgs when I get the moneys.

As far as he LR UCAs in the pics. Looks like they need to be reset with a little more positive camber, and then have the camber spec re-adjusted via the lower control arm cams.

Won't help. There's not enough adjustment in the lowers, and by the time one makes enough adjustments in the uppers to avoid contact, it's ridiculous to even try to do an alignment. Indexing the springs is the best way to get it close, but contact is still inevitable with the LRs.

Well, you haven't been part of the threads I've been part of, or using the right search criteria. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I've had the boots off my LRs, and two things worth noting:
    1) Contact doesn't seem to damage the important parts. No marks on the ball or cup.
    2) The factory seems to think grease is optional. There was about a 1/4-teaspoon dab of clear-tan grease in there. My solution was to stuff them full of Redline......and forever be wearing Redline grease all over my suspension and wheel well from when it squirts out of the contact-hole in the boot.

Do some reading. Uniballs are the way to go for a reason. Now if only I could scrape together enough change to swap out my LRs for some Camburgs......

There's plenty of adjustment with the ball joints slid all the way out.

Do some reading, there is a reason some people choose a sealed ball joint over a uni-ball.

Okay folks, I'll worry about my UCA's later. Right now, I need HALP! So, MY boots came with one type of clamp, and none of my parts stores have the tool in stock atm, so I decided to buy the "universal" clamps that work with my tool. Well, they're too small. Ugh. I see some have said use worm clamps. Is the is easiest way?

The one im holding is what came with my boots. I don't have the tool for these type. . . The one in th package is the universal clamp I bought at the parts store, and they're too small. WAT DO?

Autozone has some ghetto clamps that are a different style and don't require specialty tools but I'd replace with real clamps down the line.

Where is the best place to buy worm clamps that will fit? I know Home depot has worm clamps, but idk if they have one that will fit the big end of the boot.

I bought a tool today, but it's the wrong type. :(

I went to Home Depot and picked up a 4" and 2.5" worm clamp. They're not 3/8" but they'll do until I can get the right clamp tool. Everything went back on fine. Mission complete. It wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. The only thing that took time was going back and forth to the store to get a puller/clamp tool etc.

I just checked my LR UCAs to see if they touch the springs at full droop. I have about an inch on one side and almost the same on the other. I think you need to adjust them out some.

I HAVE ENOUGH ROOM, I DON'T NEED A FIX. I WAS POINTING IT OUT SO PEOPLE KNOW THAT NOT ALL LR UCAs HAVE THIS ISSUE.
