I maybe free this weekend. Not sure what im doing. Maybe a good opportunity to play with the plasma cutter at my buddies shop...
 Damn! That sucks man. I know the felling though. I felt like every time i went to the repair shop i was told a later date. They still owe me my hood lights too!
Thanks man! It took me a few hours to get it all cut out but it turned out nice! Worth the time an patience!
What up stranger!? You done anything new to your truck??

I work Saturday and Sunday from noon to 1am. :(

New rotors and spark plugs come in today, so may try and get all that install on Thursday and go ahead and mount the front rock lights at least.

Ahh yes you and your crazy schedule so that you can have time off. I mean i might be able to get there on sunday before noon but i doubt you will want to work on all that before you go to work.

    Yea more than likely not.

Right now going to at least get the front rock lights installed, will do the rears later down the road. Main goal right now is getting the front Rotors/Pads swapped out, New Spark Plugs, and get the oil changed out. Also going to paint the front brake calibers while I have the tires off to help clean it up some.

Maintenance day!! Shouldnt take you too long. I wanted to paint my calipers also but im not sure what color to go with. I mean red is always a classic choice but i like dark blue/purple for the underside....

I thought about red. But more than likely going to do black since I will also need to do the brake drums on the rear the same and red brake drums look stupid to me.

I mean he would probably do it but he does not have any experience doing it. He could probably get it done though.

Also i think that maybe a better job for another place. My step father has a nice cutting torch and i think he could do a better job. He has a ton of experience cutting and welding so i think he can do it or i could with his tools. He is in Ben Wheeler, only about 45 min West from you.

Just need to coordinate a weekend with him.

Works for me, don't think it it a super hard thing to do honestly. Just need someone that can weld for me.

Yeah i am just saying that he may not weld enough off or what ever. I mean from what i have heard just cut off a shit load so that you dont have to worry about having to re-cut later. He can definitely weld them on for you, i will just have to ask him.

When are you wanting to do it?

Yeah i hear you. It would also have to be when Justin has some time also. Sometimes he works on Saturdays but if you coordinate something im sure it can be done.

That would be a good start! If you dont plan to wheel it hard and just going for looks then you could get a cheap spacer lift...

Oh shit! So you are going Fox 2.0 with remote reservoirs? haha.
Make sure you hit up headstrong for their deals. Also if you wait till black friday or some holiday sales event you will save even more money!

Do you have a lift setup in mind?

Well just so you know, ground clearence comes from larger tires, you get a lift so that you can fit larger tires. I would say just get a 3 inch lift, that will fit 35s with a cab mount chop. Or 285s/315s with a bit of trimming, but they are heavy and you will lose gas mileage.

Cheapest functional route would probably be some adjustable bilstein 5100s, set at the 2nd notch with some 887 coils up front, and an add a leaf in the rear. Pretty much the same set up on my truck. You can probably skip out on the upper control arms as long as you dont put your front shocks on the top notch.

You will probably get 2 - 2.5 inchs of lift up front and you truck will set level. Also may want to ask for the 1/4 inch spacer on 1 side to avoid the taco lean.

I think im going to grab one of these black 20" light bars from RC to put in my new Pelfreybilt bumper! Should look pretty stealth!
Also trying to find a good deal on a Smittybilt X20 Comp 10k winch to go in the bumper also!
