Hey Ya'll... I experienced this as a first time Taco buying when I bought mine a few months ago and thought I'd share.

So after about a month of ownership I walked to my truck and noticed the bed seemed to not line up on the right side with the cab. I walked to the otherside and noticed it was displaced differently.

So I measured how far the bed was inset in relation to the cab. Meaning that the trucks bed was mounted off center to cab

Took it to the dealer and they fixed it as it was a factory issue.

When I picked it up the service department guy said he had never noticed it before so he looked at the access cabs in the lot... HERE'S THE IMPORTANT PART:

EVERY SINGLE ACCESS CAB ON THE LOT HAD THE SAME ISSUE

So I guess if you care about these types of things check out your bed allignment. Mine is a 2011 and all the tacos on the lot were as well so perhaps its just the manufacturing process for the year.

Long story short.. this type of thing upsets me because I bought a Toyota for the same reason everyone else buys theirs... they're awesome but more importantly they are reliable and BUILT WELL.

    Just thought I'd share.

    Have a great day peeps!

I'm measuring the inset where the cab and bed meet about middle of the body. But u can measure anywhere between the bed and cab. Check by holding a straight enge, ie ruler holding it spanning the gap between the body and cab touching each end with either the bed or cab

I've seen other threads here on this subject so nothing new, look at other Tacoma's and you'll see it's not just the access cabs that have this issue. My DCLB was not centered it was off to the left side just a bit, would never have noticed but for a thread here pointing it out. was an easy fix

My uncles 05 DCLB is off as well as my 08 access cab.
Not sure why Toyota has such an issue with this as there are several other threads with people reporting the same thing.
