Just finished the conversion. Took about 3 hours and was very easy. Looks way better IMO. I love it and it feels faster to me, but I know thats crazy:goingcrazy:

I went the expensive route and bought all the nuts and bolts to go with the new set up. I spent like $550 or so when it was all said and done. The light itself was only like $170. I ordered everything from yamahasportsplaza.com They were the cheapest I found.

Ok so I bought one of these last year cause i got a smoking deal on it but have wanted to do the conversion since i first saw a picture of one without all the fairing and stuff..... It is my understanding you are using fz8 lights ? do i just look for fz8 in search engine and buy all the stuff for it ? been kind of baffled looking and that light is not available for the fz1, was there any fitment issues ? Also is there a gauge cluster to purchase as well ? Im assuming now that they will have all of the necessary bracket needed available for that model.
