I like the setup. I wouldn't want to drill holes in my taco though...

My solution is a sticky holster between the console and seat. I am going to look up G Code though for other holsters :hattip:

Oh they are great. Not cheap by any means but they are solid and not like your kydex holster and the tactical fuzz really is nice on their IWBs.

I've been carrying with a Alien Gear holster for well over a year and really like their holsters for carrying at 4 o'clock but have been wanting to carry appendix. The pricing is not bad if its a solid holster.

I have had their Incog since March 2013, broke that one and have had its replacement since February 2015. I will probably order a Incog Eclipse model soon since I like to carry a spare mag farther away from the gun. I highly recommend the holster

How far out does that leg airbag come out? Is that a concern with this mount?

The can on the gun? If you ever used it that'd be so much gone.

Absolutely solid holsters. I used to use Alien Gear as well but I don't really like the feel of them anymore. Plus mine looks so bad after all the use.

My first thought is why would it matter. If you can legally have the gun and you have a tax stamp for the can what would it matter. I'm not sure if there would be additional legal issues because you were involved in a shooting with a restricted item. It could create additional questions about whether you were looking for the fight. Definitely a question for an attorney.

Tactically, I'd hate to try and present that pistol in the confines of a car and under stress with an additional 4+/- inches of length. Guaranteed I'd catch it on the shift lever or steering wheel and put one in my own leg.

Would be nice but that would be illegal in SC (if one were to get caught using that mount)

I just use my IWB holster, IWB style in the pouch behind the passenger seat. Can access and draw very quickly.

When I have done it, the concussion from a handgun inside the cab of a car is a bit much with earpro.....rifles are much worse especially with a muzzle brake, but its fun!

Because when it is taken in as evidence and left to sit, rusting out in evidence, would be what matters.

So far chrome removal, darkened tail lights, fender flares, and tints
Honestly it depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. If your vehicle is included under "your castle" AND the suppressor/silencer is allowed by the laws... then you can carry how you see fit. If you break the law on either part, then you'd have some legal troubles of your own.

For example: Here in Illinois, once you obtain the credentials, you can carry concealed. The glove box & center console are covered under that IF they can be secured (just having a normal OEM latch for the center console is acceptable), but unless they changed the laws this month this mount is prohibited due to no locking mechanism (no form of a twist or anything to disengage). The suppressor/silencer would be prohibited.

So basically, if you carry with that mount here or use the suppressor/silencer, then expect jail time

Awesome idea my only question is would mounting it there cause an issue with the knee airbag deploying?

Some people carry a fire extinguisher in their truck, too. I bet they don't expect their truck to burst into flames everyday.

Same reason to have a firearm.
