I forgot to mention I'm now using a more "installer friendly" 3M adhesive system on my dsp's. Every once in a while I hear from someone who didn't set them just right and they couldn't remove them in time to take another shot at it so I'm using 3M VHB that takes up to 24 hours for full strength grab. The stuff I was using befor was almost instant to 1 hour full grab. Brutal...

Anyway, if you don't get one set just right with this new VHB all you need to do is start at one end and of the dsp and SLOWLY lift until the entire protector is off the sill, then give it another shot.

    Who likes LED spot lights?!

From 7/13 until 8/13 anyone purchasing a full set of G Tek Fab door sill protectors from me here on Tacoma World will be entered in a drawing for a free set of 4" 18 watt Cree LED spot light bars.

These little gems can be mounted anywhere but they actually work great for mounting under the rear bumper with a dedicated switch for lighting up your trailer or just whatever's behind you. Perfect for ATVs too!

These are very well made, bright and come with all the mounting hardware. (Harness, switch and relay not included)

    Everything is shipped to date.

Braddahs is Hawaii will have to be patient, I was told early this week shipping to the islands will take 30 days. All shipping is on the water not in the air. I can only imaging why.

Just a reminder about installation peeps!

Please refer to the YouTube vid on the first post of this thread of Sargent Okinawa installing them on a Tundra. The Tundra and Tacoma are similar so the installation is the same.
    -------------------
Which brings me to my next idea! Who's up for a free set of G Tek Fab door sill protectors for their 2nd or 3rd gen Tacoma Double Cab?!

All you have to do is purchase a set and put together an installation vid suitable for YouTube similar to the one on the first post of this thread. From there I will choose the one I will actually be using on YouTube, and if it's yours I will issue a full refund and post your video on YouTube!

If you're interested please start a conversation with me.

DSCN1134.jpg DSCN1135.jpg Thanks G-Tek ! I'm a lot late about the sill guards. They are fantastic ! Got mine in about 6 weeks ago. Installation was fast and easy. Brought the Taco in for service today and was asked about the sill guards. Yup told him got em from G-Tek. He was very impressed and stated these where 110% better than what he had. Kind of funny when I mentioned sill guards and he was going to show me his, but after seeing these front and rear that was all she wrote ! He didn't bother.

Only problem I see here is you seem to have not centered the sill protector on the rear door (bottom pic).

I did place both rear sill guards more forward then placing them centered. I look several times and decided that by placing them slightly more forward that it would offer more protection to where some ones foot may go in and out. I'll take another photo to explain it a little better.
