Good news is free shipping has been extended until Sunday 9/10. Bad news is I'm out of 3rd gen Double Cab non diamond plate. I have a few sets of carbide texture black diamond plate for the 3rd gen DC and plenty of diamond plate and non diamond plate for the 2nd gen DC's.

Well diamond plate has more grip for sure but they’re both powder coated with a textured black so there’s a lot of traction right there.

 

Ok. next question. How do I remove the stock sill? It looks like its an adhesive sill. And while I'm at it, if I cross a river, lets say, will the door sill be to thick where it will let water seep in the cab?

 

You should be able to warm the oem Sill Protectors up with a heat gun or blow dryer then slowly peel them off. As for leaking if submerged above the jamb, I can’t guarantee they won’t leak although I’ve had quite a few tundra owners say they’ve had water above the door with no leaks. If you feel the weather strip around the doors it’s super soft so it should form around the door sill protector well enough to keep it from leaking.

 

ok sounds good. so, how much for the diamond plate for a 2014 Tacoma DCLB SR5 Pre. Also whats the length? I would like mine to be almost full length, but preferably just short before the sill curves up (if that makes any sense).

 

The DC are 22”front and 17” rear. Shoot me a conversation.
