Thanks! I'll probably call them too. It seems like the leak comes in from the folding joints/hinges in my case.

I have the G4 on mine and I am very happy with it. Had a few heavy rains, I did not notice any leaking. Car wash can be a different story, but still not much leaking.

I have had it for about a month now and I am very happy with it.

Where are you buying the G4 Elite from? Not seeing a lot of options when I search.

I'm on my 2nd Extang. One on my Dodge and now on my Taco. Had 1 small leak on the Dodge but no leaks on the Taco so far. Even going thru the car wash it has no leaks.

I'm pretty sure you have to order directly from the manufacturer.

No leaks?! How is that possible? Mine leaks like crazy and it slides forward and back a lot. I've tried calling AutoAnything who I bought It through and tried Extang with no luck. AutoAnything can't get a hold of Extang either when I got them on the phone finally. Did yours install smoothly?

How is your Extang? Is it the encore? I've been trying to contact Extang for weeks. Mine leaks a little but worst of all it slides around.

    I
I installed brackets on the rail to hold everything snug and in place. Just lucky so far with the leaks but I always check after going through the car wash and haven't seen any.

Mine was shipped on Tuesday and received on Friday, it did take a couple of business days before it was shipped. They include a copy of the install instructions with the cover but the photos were not clear. Suggest you contact them to email you a copy of the install instructions pdf or PM me your email address and I can send it to you.

I had the G4 Elite on my 2012 PreRunner and it was dry as a bone for two years
(invest in some Frost King foam seals to help with the front corners). Then the
rubber seals that cover the hinges began to split (rotted in the Tennessee sun). I
ordered the repair kit which consisted of enough rubber to replace two hinges and a
grunch of aluminum and steel pop-rivets. The process involves drilling out all the pop-
rivets, removing the two piano hinges, reinstalling the hinges with the new seals and
pop-riviting them in place. IIRC the kit ran about $85.00. You're better off finding a
one-piece that is easy to take off and replace. I opted for an Undercover cap for my
    2016 TRD Sport.

Extangs warranty is bogus, seems they have a couple of clowns sitting their that are supposed to handle warranty claims...with a do it and pay for it yourself attitude...screw them...lost my business.

Agreed. I had a bad experience with them as well. Even with "Solid" evidence published to youtube, they gave me a lot of trouble and only wanted to send me a seal redress kit without even listening to my full story. They were a very disrespectful bunch who kept cutting me off mid-sentence. I kept hearing "Sir, we dont need to see your video. Just send us a picture of water in your bed and we'll send you a seal kit". I kept arguing that for $850 bucks, I dont need a project and that their design is bad. Eventually, my Yota dealership stepped in and got them to send me a solidfold 2.0 brand new - but - since Extang refused to admit a problem and treated me like dirt, I have no confidence in them and I am done with them as well. Selling the 2.0 brand new without even trying it (of course, the guy I'm selling it to wants to try it first because he has been reading my posts :)). It does appear to be a better design; honestly, I could have used a tube of silicon and sealed it up once i found the leaks but that is way besides the point and, on principle, refused to do it.

Gad to see I am not the only one, I hate making warranty claims just for this reason, however Extang leads the way in BS.

Glad I didn't have the money to buy the Extang Solid Fold when the buying frenzy was going on here.
