Yeah this is the bad part of the GA group it seems. Larger plans seem to fall through.

We will be going to cloudland canton that weekend. If we find time we may come out for a day up the mountain. Just hit this trail before trading my tj in last month, pretty tame and in good shape.

We were thinking of camping at either tybee, st simons or jekyll the weekend after Easter.

There is a campground in tybee, its pricey, also some in st simons, one on jekyll but its a minimum of 2 night stay (3 night min on holidays). I would like to go to st simons, they have some cool primitive sites I havent been to yet.

Much wheeling down there? I like tybee but it's got to be worth it to pay for a campsite and for me a four hour drive each way

I dont think there is any wheeling. If you go to st simons you can take a ferry and camp on the island (primitive, no vehicles). We live in Macon, GA (2.5hr drive) so its like a mini vacation for us to get some beach time in. We always camp now, since I have invested into trailer camping/overlanding I take advantage of camp sites to save on hotel costs.

Oh cool. Do you know exactly where these spots are? Were going to the Jekyll campground for a couple nights next week but I've been trying to find a spot we haven't gone to yet. The Saint Simons ones that is.
