I really appreciate the hookup tacoglock. I've met some very generous members here on TW and looks like I'll be paying it forward myself here soon!

No worries man. Always down to help when I can. Just let me know if you iron it out with the guy and I'll go meet him. My shop called and needs my truck until about midday tomorrow but I can meet him early evening after the traffic dies down.

I only venture onto enthusiast forums. Trucks, guns, knives, bows, etc. There's so much more knowledge to be gained through forums, than the usual social media outlets. Those outlets seem more like a popularity contest IMO.

Fun new toy I picked up on the cheap. Runs great, will pull up the front tire shifting to second. Buttt the brakes don't work. It's my winter tinkering project.

How many of y’all have customized vehicle coverage? Looking into it being that I’ve got so much invested in this damn truck, and it’s only going to get worse.

Reached out to my insurance company(Amfam) and they quoted an additional $25/month for $15000 worth of coverage that would pay cash value of items stolen/damaged or cover amount to repair/replace items.

Has anyone ever had similar coverage and actually had to use it? I think I’m going to go for it as it seems like cheap extra insurance...

I run a small "custom accessories" coverage on my truck. Runs me $30 a year for up to $3k worth of coverage. I only have it for my topper, as that item would not be covered by my regular policy whereas things like tires/wheels/suspension are covered. If my skids and sliders get jacked I'm just SOL, but at that point the truck is likely totaled anyway.

Just on a price quote level I did get quoted $100 a year for up to $7k worth of coverage for my bike. So your quote doesn't seem too far off base.

I added $2000 worth of "accessory coverage" to my truck insurance in case someone ever steals the RTT off of the back. I think it cost an extra $18 every 6 months.
