Cool, Thanks. Adding the inline if needed or not, is cheap insurance. Thanks for the advice.

Someone come hook up the 3rd brake light on my topper to my brake lights. I’m sure it’s extremely easy. I’ve just always hated electrical work so I’m pretty much a dummy.

You could use Vampire clips for those. Should only take like 30 seconds

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I vwant to suck your power!

I tried this with cheap ones that some in the kits. Didn't work so I cut and spliced but it would have been 10x easier if I had quality vampire clips.

Just noticed something, did you apply that to the truck to or just the panels in the picture?

I don't know what that is?? If its similar to a posi-tap, I've already tried that. No dice.
Either I didn't tap into the right wires on the brake light (only 2 from the 3rd brake light, 3 if I remember correctly on the back of the truck brake), or maybe the 3rd brake light on the topper is trash.

I applied to both. I rode around a few days with the back completely stripped out and it made me worried I wouldn’t be able to stand the road noise. I even applied it to the bottom side of the platform as well. I wish I had a decibel meter to have some empirical data showing the sound difference. My theory was more the better when applying.

Ok was worried you didn't put it on the truck. That is where the noise is coming from. Just need to find a way to cover the vent hole that is behind the passenger side. That is where most of the noise is from just due to it goes outside. See if you could put some of that Jute carpet over that and see if it helps with the noise.

Oh no, the back wall is covered too. I just suck at taking installation pictures. It’s out of the ordinary that I managed to snap the pic of the plastic cubby. That’s a good idea for the carpet. I’m planning on adding more carpet on the back wall as well. The stuff Toyota uses is essentially weightless.

They build these truck like they are trying to save weight for an epic hike. Ounces=Pounds or something like that. I will try and find some as well even though I plan on having my seats installed.

I believe it's the green/red wire you need to tap into.

Snorkel you say.... I've been wanting to get a snorkel installed but I'd rather still keep on saving for some LT kings setup since I'm 2wd.. I have thought about converting it to 4wd with a fj box.. but that's still in the air lol
