It was coming down pretty good in Marietta this morning. Enough to get blown around on the road.

Yeah, I could see it blowing around in the road as well....but there is no evidence of it remaining.

There's some truth in this statement. I tried the upgraded Netflix subscription when we first got our 50" 4k and couldn't tell a difference. So I backed my subscription back down to the normal one.

I'll probably hold off a little while longer. You have a good point about the budget models too. I bought our Hitachi on a GREAT sale and it turned out be worth about what I paid for it at the time. I'll save up a little and get a decent TV the next time around.

Anyone looking to offload stock SR5 rims / tires from a 3rd gen? I'll buy the whole set if the price is right. I really need just two though.

I have zero trust in the chinesium tires on my travel trailer and am strongly considering just adapting the hub to fit a 6x5.5 and rolling it on matching wheels to the taco.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Picked up the bed mat from CCT, haven't put it in yet but I'm trying to decide if I want to secure it.

Secure it? Like bungee the box down for the ride home so it doesn’t move/fall out? Or secure it like there’s a Mod so it can’t get stolen? :notsure: Got my attention...

Bolt it down so it doesn't get stolen. Some assholes stole our Christmas projector lights this year off our lawn.

There's three holes towards the front, one has a screw/bolt through it. I could drill a hole in the bed mat if one already isn't there maybe like the 2G guys have done.

Beginning my hunt for an SSM (2014 silver) truck cap for a short bed. Needs to have rails but obviously does not need the cross bars (I can source those wherever).

What do you guys usually search when you are looking? Seems like a lot of you have succeeded in finding what you need!
    My thoughts were:
    Tacoma cap
    Tacoma Topper
    Tacoma Camper Shell
    What am I missing?

    Thanks!

You're barking up the right tree. In addition, mash up some of the terms you're already searching: camper top, top, lid, shell, etc. Tacoma always as the prefix. You'll get all kinds of trash, but if you wanna save some money you'll likely have to wade through it.

The bookface sounds like it has become a good place to source used goods. I'm not a part of that platform so I have no clue. I still use good ol' (sketchy) craigslist via regional search engines like search tempest.
Others have mentioned monitoring dealer and personal truck ads. I've never had success getting a used top that route, but I sure as hell have contacted sellers/dealers about splitting up a truck/top combo.

I kinda ran into the same thing looking for a Softopper. What I found is (Sometimes) people marketing "Camper shells" and the like don't list the word "Tacoma" which they should. If you searching on FB or Craigslist it can be a daunting task going through all the camper tops to read the description. Because they failed to list in the "Tacoma in the header" If your just searching on here then I'd say your good with your search terms if your searching other places keep it generic. (Leave off the "Tacoma") and go through the ads one by one.

As an example I've seen on FB the title states just "Truck Camper Shell" Then you click on the add and it states "Came off a tacoma" so FB search doesn't pick this up (most of the time) Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Been perusing FB and Craigslist. Need to expand my craigslist checks as it has just been Charlotte, Greenville, and Atlanta. Willing to travel a bit to get it.
