Having their CC does make more of an incentive to purchase from them.

What do you need? The family camping tents are nice. Also you can use the coupon more than once. Just order one item at a time

Need? Haha, I don't 'need' anything really.

At a minimum I'd like to replace my older 2 person half dome ground tent to something larger to accommodate the fam. And possibly replace my aged sleeping bag and pad. Not at all married to the idea of any of these items being REI brand.

I think this particular coupon is a one time use deal, but will certainly give multiple attempts a go should I decide to loosen the wallet.

you forgot to add it's been an Ohio vehicle so the rust has probably already done it's fair share of damage i'm sure.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
I have one of the grand hut tents. Super easy to set up and take down. Would be happy to get rid of it when I take the plunge on a RTT. I am able to fit a full-size queen aerobed air mattress in there and still have room to walk around. I am 6’ 2” and still have head room. Would highly recommend for ground camping. Think REI says you can sleep 4 adults in this one. It’s the smaller of the 2 huts.

I'll keep the offer in mind as that tent is one I've looked at in the past. I'm not a fan of abusing the REI returns policy, but if it really isn't working for you you could always take it back for a refund.

If I stick to a ground tent, the OZ Tents and Gazelles are highest on my list.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I will sell you my Mountain Hardwear Tent. It’s a 4 person called “A Room with a View” for cheap bro.
You can use it, if it’s something you want just give me something for it. I don’t need flow for it, maybe you trade me some of your gear for it if you like it.

Oh it totally works for me. I don’t use it as much as I would like to but I’m working on not having to use it if I can get a roof top. I looked at those too, pricey but their stuff is pretty solid.

Thats a possibility. Leaning away from the lighter backpack oriented tents though. I'm over repairing nylon and resealing rainfly seams for a decade or so. My truck bed doesn't care how heavy my tent is nearly as much as my back once did.

Side note, I just got a Cane Creek Inline coil shock for my Tallboy :drool::drool:

That tent is almost 8lbs....I wouldn't call it a ligher backpacking tent by any means. If you're at the point in life that you're tent is going to be more like a mini yurt and not a crawl into type tent, the OZ's seem like a good fit.

My bad. I only googled it and saw the pictures. Appearance wise it absolutely looks like a lighter backpacker oriented tent, which is exactly how described it. At least to me it does. I'll be sure to do further research before jumping to conclusions in the future.

You're close to accurate on my life. Having spent more years and nights crawling into/out of small tents or under tarps than I care to count. I'm perfectly fine with acknowledging I'd like to camp with some added comfort. I would think all the RTT tent and trailer camping folks could probably empathize with that notion.

Haha it looks much ligher than it's stats. I'm starting to get to where you are also. I still like to backpack and keep my weight down but if I have a truck to camp out of, I'm going to make it as comfortable as possible.

I still prefer the remote access aspects of backpacking vs truck camping. My kids are too young for backpacking currently.

In the short term I'm planning to re-up with some more family friendly/truck oriented camping gear for now to get everyone out as a family. And then long term, as the kids get older, get back to acquiring lighter backpack friendly gear again to get us further out. Honestly just mirroring what my Dad did with my sister and me.

The gf and I went hiking out there a few weekends ago and damn that's a cool place. Plenty of spots on the river to bring a 6er and get a decent buzz and keep cool

I have a one year old now and that seems like exactly the route I'm pointed towards also.

Yea man. My company tries to do at least one trip out there per year and we get one of the group sites so we’re isolated and there’s nobody to bother us. Pretty cool place for day trips too. And right down the street from the house
