Ok, so now I'm going to be the dumb one.

In the simplest terms possible, you can/will program the ECU for $250. Right?

Is this limited to 3rd gen, or can it be done to 2nd gen as well?

Yep, $250 gets your truck programmed.
And unfortunately, the software only gives access to 3rd gen. I think there was a handheld alternative ovtune came out with targeting supercharged 2nd gen that some people used even if they didn't have that turbo.
    Anyway, sorry dude!

Huge shout out to @CowboyTaco for making me some drawers for the 4R. We were up in the Linville, NC area LW trying to see if we could spot @Built2Ride, but did not see him

Who’s had ants? I’ve been dealing w an infestation for 2 weeks and am at wits end. So far I’ve sprayed, cleaned my interior, washed my truck (twice), put out any bait nearly every day. Still saw more this morning. Any other ideas, short of setting it on fire?

    Buy a bug bomb.

Close the car up and then set it off. Then allow the car to air out. If you have a garage, put the car with windows down in the garage and light it off in the garage.

    In the truck?

What/where did you spray? Do you park next to an ant bed? Can you follow the trail back to anywhere (probably have to remove panels)?

It started after a rain and they fell out of a tree and covered the truck. Best I can tell, now they’re in the engine bay behind the firewall. I haven’t seen any inside the cab since I sprayed inside and vacuumed. They’re on the exterior and come out from near the hood hinges

Remove the wipers and plastic piece underneath them. Clean that area out real good. That's also a good time to do any kind of back-2-black (ceramic coating works well on plastic for that) on that piece.

    Same crap everyone else got
I had them once. I don't have front mud flaps and there was a small next right behind the plastic fender liner was. Right in front of my driver side door. If you open the door you can see all the way to that area almost. Cleaned it out with a stick and out fell a huge wad of leaves and straw covered in ants. After that they were gone. Good luck.

Just read where they are in the bay.
    Find the source.

Agreed I had them move into my bed behind the plastic liner right after I put on my camper top and a big rain came. There was just enough leaves and dirt for them I guess. Nothing worked for me til I evicted their housing complex.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
You were just south of me. Don’t have cell service up there, I didn’t get your txt until I was down the mtn. Looks like a nice place you found there. Looks familiar;)
I was off 2074 which connects to the BRP. Ah hell I just gave away my sweet spot. You guys will enjoy these campsites.
