I almost went with the Walker Evans. I got hung up on the scs bug though. The Walker Evans are good looking and not everyone has them.

That's my favorite thing about them, not very many tacoma's have them. Not many even know about them unless you've been in off road game a while. I just think they may be too "busy" and can't get a good grasp of what that color combo will look like on my color truck b/c there isn't an example of them on a truck my color that shows the whole truck.

Lmao:rofl: That was an interesting time for sure hahaha... my last trip there a couple months ago the ranger gave me a mouthful for driving in the park just after sunset. Had no clue you couldn’t drive, just thought you had to be in the park

I drove another tacoma with one and an OVtune and could really feel the difference it was making for pickup and acceleration verses mine. That's why I was curious on anyone else's opinion, because I've seen mixed reviews back and forth. Some people who got it saying it's made a moderate to pretty solid difference and then others commenting saying it doesn't do much, like you did. But was hoping to hear more from someone who actually has been using the product for some time now.

Gotcha, I had one on my truck and swapped to a stock one (for snorkel) and couldn't tell the difference. Now mind you my truck is 20 years old at this point so yeah it won't do shit for mine. But yours not sure since I've heard 3rd gens are more tune-able compared to 1st gens. So I'll retract to the shadows once more

haha, you're good man. As soon as I got my truck tuned last week it's made a whole world of a difference for me, especially since I'm running 33's. From what I was readying if I wanted a little bit more of boost in the pickup from there I'd wanna look into a better air intake to liven up the engine a bit.

After reading through the forums and seeing that people aren't necessarily convinced that another CAI will be much more beneficial, I settled for snagging the TRD pro intake part: Intake Flow Accelerator (PTR0335160AE) to swap out with the mud guard opening. It just has a wide-mouth opening connection to the wheel well. I could notice a slight difference in sound -- who knows if it made any difference in performance.. but shoot, i'll take a 1-2hp difference and the potential for nicer breathing.
Good luck with finding a solution.

I remember you telling me this when I saw your truck. I might look into doing the same, but gonna do a little more research first but could end up taking the same route honestly. Thank you! Btw some guy in a nice shiny dolled up 2021 High country pulled up next to me while I was at a light yesterday. Soon as it turned green he took off like he was trying to race me or something...we got to the next light, I hit the ECT, and same thing, light turned green and he slammed on his gas. Thought I'd test the tune out and slammed mine too. Let's just say all I could see was his headlights the rest of my drive :bikewheelie:
