I paid 150 for a shop to weld on my sliders. Just for reference.

While were on the topic of sliders, is anyone wanting plasma cut frame plates and the tubing already bent for a 2nd gen DCSB, I was building a set for a friend when i was making mine, but he sold his taco.

The only thing you would need is the 2x2 sq tubing and alot of beveling to finish them. If you could make a day of them we could try to finish them and mine at my place.

I have to drill the frame to mount the SOS TC skid, and I'm a bit apprehensive about it. Everything I've done to this point can be undone easily. I'll be cutting up the front bumper to mount my SSO Slimline, but even that can be undone if needed. My first point of no return mod.

I plan on keeping this for as long as a truck suits me, which is why I haven't done it yet. I'm a bit worried about frame issues down the line based on past Toyota performance on this issue.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Drill them holes son! Had so many sets of sliders saying ‘bolt on’...most don’t mention the drilling part ;)

    Yes
understand the concern 100%. I’d drill the hole, paint it up and install your skid. If it ever comes to it, you can always have the holes welded up and ground down to look like it never existed.
